Tillandsia are members of the bromeliad family and are found growing as epiphytes all over South America. They thrive in humid environments like terrariums but equally can be grown in the home in humid areas like kitchens or bathrooms. If growing in the home they can be misted or soaked a couple of times a week. Once sprayed or soaked, shake off excess water to prevent rotting. Ideally, rain water is best for this.
