Josefia intricata
A truly rare species of aroid from Kalimantan, Borneo, with distinctive long textured pendant leaves. Originally sold as Aridarum sp perisai, we imported a mother plant almost 4 years ago. It was recently described, and is the only species in the new genus Josefia.
These plants import terribly and there are questions around sustainable growing/sourcing of these plants, so we decided to start propagating in-house. These are all off-set grown from our mother plant and grown out in the air to harden them off. There are very few of these grown from offsets available in Europe. A true rarity
Growth habit: Clump forming
Water: Keep moist
Light: Seems unfussy
Humidity: Will thrive in higher than ambient humidity.
