Anthurium andraeanum ‘Million Flowers Red’
This hybrid produces striking, bright red flowers and darker green, heart shaped leaves which is why it is named ‘Million Flowers Red’. Native to Colombia & Ecuador.
- Anthurium andraeanum are commonly called Flamingo Flowers for their glossy, waxy, brightly coloured, long lasting spathes that look unreal.
- Spathes are deep red in colour
- Spade-shaped, colourful spathes are actually leaves whereas the actual flower is the central spike or spadix.
Growth pattern: Self-heading, bushy & compact
Water: When the top 4-5cm of soil becomes dry.
Ideal Position: East facing
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
