Amorphophallus atroviridis ‘Silver Splash’
A beautiful, unusual species with very dark, velvety leaves which are edged in slivers of contrasting bright pink and have deep, pinnate venation. Native to Thailand.
- Imported in 2021 from sustainably propagated stock.
- Reaches 40-50cm tall.
- Grows deep in rocky crevices in its natural habitat which is why its tuber is planted deep inside a tall, terracotta pot.
Growth pattern: Tuberous single petiole with one leaf. Leaf falls off in winter dormancy. Will resume in spring.
Water: Allow to dry out between waterings. Almost no water during dormancy.
Ideal Position: East facing
Light: Bright, indirect light.
Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
