Alocasia tigrina Variegated
A taller species with patterned petioles and graceful, narrow, leaves with a suede-like texture. Native to South-East Asia. This plant is a one-off, so the plant in the image is the one you will receive. There are two plants in the same pot, one of which is variegated on every other leaf.
- Leaves are large, arrow-shaped and upward-pointing.
- Similar foliage to Alocasia Zebrina but with more elongated and slender leaves.
- Named Tigrina for its tiger-striped, black and yellow stems.
Growth pattern: Tuberous, tall & upright.
Water: Little and often. Keep moist but not waterlogged.
Ideal Position: South, east or north facing.
Light: Medium to bright, indirect light.
Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
