Alocasia ‘Ivory Coast’
An uncommon variety of Alocasia which has large, arrow-shaped, veined leaves and striped stems. Native to South-East Asia.
- In juvenile form, stems are zebra striped, like Alocasia zebrina.
- When mature, stems turn light pink but retain some stripe markings.
- Leaves are waxy, thick and glossy.
Growth pattern: Tuberous, tall & upright
Water: Little and often. Keep moist but not waterlogged.
Ideal Position: South, east or north facing
Light: Bright, indirect or filtered light.
Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use.
